Meet Deena Aranoff
ABOUT
Deena Aranoff is the Faculty Director of the Richard S. Dinner Center for Jewish Studies at the
Graduate Theological Union (GTU). She is a beloved teacher of Torah and Talmud throughout
the Bay Area. In her teaching and writing, Deena combines a mastery of classical Jewish texts
with compassionate attention to human nature and its condition. She holds a Ph.D. from
Columbia University in the field of Jewish history. Deena is also a certified yoga teacher, an avid practitioner of the movement techniques developed by Moshe Feldenkrais, a teacher of the
Enneagram system of personality development, and is currently studying homeopathy with the
Academy of Homeopathy Education. She is passionate about ideas, wellness, parenting and
communication.
